In the early morning hours of June 24, 2020, in Greenwood, Mississippi, 38-year-old Terrance Dodd, a Black male, was found shot to death. The Leflore County Sheriff's Department received a call at approximately 2:33 a.m. directing them to the Browning Community on Amanda Drive. Upon arrival, they discovered Dodd, who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Leflore County coroner. Although Dodd had a Kosciusko address, it was reported that he had been in the Greenwood area for a few days prior to his death.
The investigation into Dodd's death, which marked the 10th homicide in Leflore County for 2020, has been ongoing. However, there have been no significant developments reported in the case. During that incident, Dodd allegedly fired multiple shots into a vehicle, injuring a man named Ricky Scales. While authorities have not officially linked this past event to his murder, the investigation into his death remains open.
