Samar Gary, 21, a man from Greenwood, Mississippi, was shot and killed on the morning of June 16, 2025. He died at the scene outside the Triple Stop gas station on Mississippi 430, also known as Humphrey Highway, after being struck multiple times by gunfire. His death was recorded among Greenwood's 2025 homicide victims and publicly memorialized shortly afterward.
