Jonathan Pitts, aged 42, tragically lost his life on October 24, 2020, in Greenwood, Mississippi. He and his sister, Katrina Pitts, 41, were fatally shot during a mass shooting at a post-funeral gathering. The siblings, originally from Chicago, were in Greenwood to attend their grandmother's funeral. The incident occurred late Saturday night on West Martin Luther King Drive, where a gathering of family members from both Chicago and Greenwood was held after the funeral services.
