In the winter of 2020, the community of Yazoo City, Mississippi, lost one of its own. David Brandon 'B.G.' Gallagher, a 36-year-old male, passed away on December 6, 2020. Born in Holmes County on March 30, 1984, he had spent his entire life in Yazoo County. He was a father to four sons, Nickolas Shanks, Patrick Gallagher, Dylan Gallagher, and Landon Gallagher.
Described as an entrepreneur who worked from home, he cherished the time he spent with his boys.
Gallagher was known as someone who was always there for others, quick to lend a helping hand without hesitation. His sudden death left a void in the lives of his family, including his mother, Shirley Gallagher, and his sister, Shannon Gallagher. He was preceded in death by his father, David Gallagher.
Initial reports surrounding his death indicated that he had died from a gunshot wound upon his arrival at a local hospital. An investigation into the circumstances of the shooting was conducted by the Yazoo County Sheriff's Department. After looking into the matter, Chief Investigator Terry Gann announced that the shooting was determined to be accidental. With this ruling, the investigation into Gallagher's death was closed.
