On January 20, 2021, Robert Lee Cotton, a 36-year-old resident of Tunica, Mississippi, was tragically shot and killed. The incident occurred on Beat Line Road within the town limits of Tunica. According to the Tunica County Sheriff's Office, the dispatch center received a 911 call reporting the shooting. Upon arrival, officers and first responders found Cotton with a gunshot wound.
