On August 13, 2024, at approximately 10:58 p.m., the Tunica County Sheriff's Office responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting at 2661 Old Highway 61 in Tunica, Mississippi. Upon arrival, deputies found 22-year-old Jermaine Jones lying on the ground next to a vehicle, suffering from a single gunshot wound. Despite the efforts of first responders, Jones succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by Tunica County Coroner Glen Grant.
