In the late hours of a Tuesday night in Tunica, Mississippi, the life of 22-year-old Jermaine Jones, a male, was tragically cut short. On August 13, 2024, at approximately 10:58 p.m., the Tunica County Sheriff's Office received a distressing 911 call reporting a shooting at an apartment complex located at 2661 Old Highway 61.
Upon their arrival at the scene, sheriff's deputies and first responders discovered Jones lying on the ground next to a vehicle.
He had sustained a single gunshot wound. Despite the immediate response and efforts of Pafford EMS, Jermaine Jones succumbed to his injury and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Tunica County Coroner, Glen Grant.
