On June 23, 2021, a tragic incident occurred in Columbus, Mississippi, resulting in the death of 8-year-old Jayda Brewer. The incident took place at the family’s home on 26th Street North. According to reports, the tragedy unfolded following a heated argument between family members. Jayda Brewer and her mother, Erica Bush Brewer, 49, were both fatally shot during the altercation.
