Death by Force

On August 10, 2024, Abria Ke' Amber Harris, an 18-year-old student from Columbus, Mississippi, was fatally shot near the Riverwalk. The incident occurred around 6:09 PM when police received a 911 call reporting that a friend had accidentally shot herself while playing with a gun. Upon arrival, officers found Harris suffering from a single gunshot wound to her head. Unfortunately, she was pronounced dead at the scene by the Lowndes County Coroner.
