Derecus Antonio Conerly, a 20-year-old from Summit, Mississippi, was reported missing by his family on June 26, 2021. His body was discovered on June 28, 2021, near a burned-out vehicle on Jeanette Lane outside Summit. The body was badly burned, making initial identification challenging. However, the Mississippi Crime Lab was able to positively identify Conerly through fingerprint analysis.
