On a summer day in Terry, Mississippi, a welfare check led to a grim discovery at a home on Midway Road. Inside, authorities found the bodies of 60-year-old David Hylander, a Caucasian male, and his 83-year-old mother, Sarah Hylander, on July 25, 2021. Both had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. The Hinds County Sheriff's Office immediately launched an investigation into the double homicide.
