In the quiet community of Moss Point, Mississippi, a young life was abruptly cut short on the evening of Tuesday, March 8, 2022. Caltavious Anderson, a 19-year-old male, was fatally wounded in a shooting that transpired in the 6100 block of Dora Court. Just after 6:00 p.m., officers from the Moss Point Police Department were dispatched to the scene following reports of gunfire. Upon their arrival, they discovered Anderson, who had succumbed to an apparent gunshot wound.
In the immediate aftermath of the shooting, law enforcement began an intensive investigation into the senseless act of violence.
