In the early morning hours of May 28, 2022, a domestic dispute at the Auburn Apartments in Tupelo, Mississippi, escalated into a fatal shooting, claiming the life of 21-year-old Kavon Usher. Lee County Sheriff's deputies responded to a shots fired call around 5 a.m. and discovered Usher deceased from a gunshot wound inside the apartment he shared with his girlfriend.
