On May 22, 2024, 19-year-old Terrell Peete of St. Louis was fatally shot in the parking lot of the St. Charles Convention Center in St. Charles, Missouri. The incident occurred around 8 p.m. during a planned firearm exchange between two groups. According to police reports, Peete and his associates had arranged to trade guns with another group; however, upon meeting, Peete's group attempted to flee with a firearm without completing the exchange.
