On June 12, 2023, at approximately 11 p.m., 20-year-old Fithawi Asfaha Gebremedhin was fatally shot at the Metro on Fifth apartment complex in St. Charles, Missouri. His 22-year-old sister sustained a gunshot wound to her right leg but survived.
