In the heart of Greenwood, Mississippi, a wave of violence on an autumn Sunday claimed the life of 31-year-old Quincy Turner, a man known affectionately as 'Que.' On October 23, 2022, Turner, a well-regarded bartender at the Greenwood Country Club, was fatally shot in the 800 block of Main Street. His death was part of a series of shootings that tragic day which also resulted in the deaths of two other men, Justin Doyle and Ashton Davis.
The Greenwood Police Department responded to
reports of a fight involving weapons and discovered the violent scene. Law enforcement officials have suggested that the shooting deaths of Turner and Davis may be connected to the earlier shooting of Doyle on the same evening.
