The events that led to Grayson's untimely death
unfolded in a back alley near one of the city's most traversed intersections. On that Thursday morning, police responded to a report of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered Grayson inside a vehicle, suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. The scene quickly became the focus of an intensive investigation that would last for nearly twelve hours as detectives meticulously gathered evidence and interviewed potential witnesses to piece together the moments leading to the fatal shot.
Near the vehicle, authorities found 17-year-old Keenen Major. Investigators soon determined that the two young men were acquainted, leading them to believe the shooting was not a random act of violence but stemmed from a personal conflict.
