In the late spring of 2015, what was initially reported as a tragic suicide in Guthrie, Oklahoma, unraveled into a case of homicide. Geoffrey Todd Wakefield, a 29-year-old White/Caucasian male, was found with a gunshot wound to his head at his residence on Browne Avenue on May 30, 2015. He was immediately transported to a hospital for medical attention. Despite the efforts of medical professionals, Wakefield succumbed to his injuries nearly a month later, on June 23, 2015.
