In the summer of 2015, a tragedy befell a Tulsa, Oklahoma family that would lead to a multi-suspect manhunt and leave a community in mourning. Jacob David Shadrick, a 31-year-old male resident of Tulsa, was killed on June 16, 2015, leaving behind his children and loved ones. His death was the result of gun violence, a fact that would soon launch a thorough homicide investigation by local law enforcement.
Remembered as a loving father, son, and friend, Jacob’s sudden and violent passing left a void in the lives of those who knew him.
The investigation into Jacob's death quickly gained momentum, leading to the identification of several individuals believed to be involved. Authorities issued arrest warrants, and soon, three suspects were in custody: Brandy Jordan, Xavier Jordan, and Jerrick Washington. The search, however, was not over. A fourth suspect, Isadore Jordan, remained at large, and a murder warrant was issued for his arrest. The pursuit of Isadore would prove to be a dramatic affair, further intensifying the tragic narrative of Jacob's untimely death.
In early November 2015, Tulsa police located Isadore Jordan at an apartment complex near 36th Street North and Peoria. As officers moved in to make the arrest, he fled, managing to escape into a nearby wooded area. The attempt to apprehend him led to a lockdown of several local schools as police conducted an extensive search of the area. Despite their efforts, Isadore initially evaded capture, prolonging the quest for justice for Jacob Shadrick. The determined efforts of the Tulsa police, however, signified a clear message that they would not rest until all those responsible for Jacob’s death were held accountable.
