Do you know who murdered Michael? In the early morning hours of April 25, 1998, the body of 45-year-old Michael Charles Anderson, a male, was discovered in the side yard of a residence at 3204 N. Hartford Avenue in Tulsa, Oklahoma. A neighbor had placed a 911 call at approximately 4 a.m., leading police to the scene. An investigation determined that Anderson had been stabbed to death, suffering from multiple wounds.
At the time of the homicide, there were several individuals inside the house on the property where
Anderson's body was found. Despite the presence of these potential witnesses, the case has grown cold over the years. Law enforcement has not publicly identified any suspect or suspects in connection with the murder, and no arrests have been made. Just months prior, another Tulsa resident named Michael Anderson also fell victim to an unsolved homicide. In the pre-dawn hours of October 28, 1997, at approximately 2 a.m., Anderson was shot while he slept in his home. The assailants fired their weapons from a vehicle that was in front of the residence.
The gunshots resulted in a fatal injury for Anderson, who succumbed to his wounds three days after the shooting. This case, much like the stabbing of Michael Charles Anderson, remains without a resolution. The suspect or suspects involved in the shooting have never been identified, and no arrests have been made in the decades since the incident occurred. The investigation into the death is ongoing as a cold case with the Tulsa Police Department.
