In Lawton, Oklahoma, on the evening of June 30, 2015, a heated argument between Joseph Higgins and his girlfriend, Shainice Owens, at their home escalated into a tragedy that would end a life. During the altercation, a gun was introduced into the conflict. Both individuals reportedly reached for the weapon, leading to a fatal conclusion.
