Norman Russell Glover, a 42-year-old Black male, was tragically killed on August 4, 2016, in Lawton, Oklahoma. On that day, Lawton police were dispatched to a residence in the 1200 block of Northwest 31st Street after receiving reports of gunfire. Upon their arrival, they discovered Mr. Glover inside his home, having sustained fatal gunshot wounds.
Another individual, a woman named Bambi Glover, was also found at the scene with gunshot injuries.
She was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. The incident was quickly determined to be a homicide, prompting an immediate and intensive investigation by law enforcement.
The investigation into the shooting led police to identify Cory Huntley as the primary suspect. Shortly after the incident, Huntley was apprehended by authorities without incident and taken into custody. He was subsequently booked into the Lawton city jail.
Following his arrest, Cory Huntley faced multiple serious charges. These included one count of murder for the death of Norman Glover and one count of shooting with intent to kill in relation to the injuries sustained by Bambi Glover. Additionally, Huntley was charged with possession of a firearm after a former felony conviction, indicating a prior criminal record. The case then moved into the legal system for prosecution.
