In a tragic turn of events on the afternoon of April 13, 2026, 15-year-old Dominik Papatu was shot and killed inside the Wingstop restaurant where he worked in Lawton, Oklahoma. The incident, which unfolded just after 2:30 p.m. near 72nd Street and Northwest Cache Road, cut short the life of a promising young man who was not only an employee but also a student at Eisenhower High School and a member of the varsity football team.
