On the evening of July 25, 2026, in Lawton, Oklahoma, the lives of two young soldiers were tragically cut short in an act of violence that stemmed from a domestic dispute. Jabari "Bari" Roebuck, a 20-year-old U.S. Army soldier, was fatally shot at the Timbers Apartments. He was found alongside 19-year-old Pfc. Chamill London, who was also a victim of the fatal shooting. Both Roebuck and London were pronounced dead at the scene. At the time of their deaths, both soldiers were stationed at Fort Sill. Roebuck was serving with the 31st Air Defense Artillery Brigade, while London was with the 5th Battalion, 5th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, and was preparing for an upcoming deployment to Iraq.

The investigation conducted by the Lawton Police Department quickly identified a suspect in the double homicide. The suspect was 21-year-old Lemondre Wilson, a U.S. Marine who was the estranged husband of Chamill London. According to investigators, Wilson had been struggling to accept the couple's recent divorce. After the shooting, Wilson fled the apartment complex, prompting a search by law enforcement. His vehicle was later located by authorities along Interstate 35 near Perry, Oklahoma.

Upon locating the vehicle, law enforcement officials discovered Wilson inside, deceased from what was determined to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. This brought a grim conclusion to the investigation, as the case was classified as a murder-suicide. Due to the death of the sole suspect, Lemondre Wilson, there were no arrests made in connection with the murders of Jabari Roebuck and Chamill London. Consequently, there have been no trials, convictions, or sentencing in this case. The Lawton Police Department's investigation concluded that Wilson acted alone in the killings before taking his own life. The incident left the families and fellow service members of the two young soldiers to mourn their untimely and tragic deaths.
