A welfare check results in discovery of a murder
On September 9, 1995, 36-year-old Michael Gembarowski was found dead on the kitchen floor of his home in Milton, Vermont, following a welfare check. Initially believed to have died of natural causes, an autopsy later revealed that Gembarowski had been shot, turning the case into a homicide investigation.
