In the spring of 2017, the life of a young woman from Oklahoma City was tragically cut short. Wendy Cortez-Paiz, a 22-year-old female, was fatally wounded in a shooting that occurred on Saturday, April 1, 2017. She succumbed to her injuries two days later, on Monday, April 3, 2017. Born in Retalhuleu, Guatemala, Wendy had graduated from Emerson High School in Oklahoma City and was employed at Hetronic USA.
