In the small city of Claremore, Oklahoma, the life of 22-year-old Dakota Lee Rex was cut tragically short on May 16, 2017. A young man known for his outgoing and friendly nature, he was fatally shot during a home invasion at his residence in the 600 block of South Maryland. The Claremore Police Department, along with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, responded to the scene to begin the difficult task of piecing together the events that led to this violent act.
