Michael Scott Hansen, a 43-year-old White / Caucasian male, was fatally shot on March 6, 2022, in a rural area of Rogers County, near Claremore, Oklahoma. His body was discovered in a ditch near his home on South 4230 Road and East 440 Road.
The incident occurred following a gathering near the residence of a neighbor, Gary Hubble. An altercation took place between Hansen and Hubble.
After the confrontation, Hubble went back to his home and, with the help of his mother, Lynda O'Fields, retrieved a firearm. As Hansen was leaving the area on his motorcycle, Hubble fired the weapon, which resulted in Hansen's death.
The Rogers County Sheriff's Office, in conjunction with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, conducted the investigation. Following the investigation, both Gary Hubble and his mother, Lynda O'Fields, were arrested and charged with first-degree murder. It was also revealed that Hubble was a convicted felon and was not legally permitted to be in possession of a firearm. Authorities believe the act was premeditated.
