In the early evening of November 10, 2017, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, a tragedy unfolded that would leave a family heartbroken and a community searching for answers. Brett Doty, a 25-year-old male, was discovered inside a vehicle at the intersection of Junction and Carolyn Streets with a fatal gunshot wound to his neck. Emergency responders rushed him to Saint Francis Muskogee Hospital, but his life could not be saved, and he was pronounced dead.
