In the late evening hours of September 14, 2019, the life of 28-year-old Deshaun Lamar Mitchell was tragically cut short in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. A Black/African American male, Mitchell was discovered by police responding to reports of a shooting at approximately 10:45 p.m. near the intersection of NW 23rd Street and Villa Avenue. He was found lying outside near an apartment complex and was pronounced dead at the scene.
