In the spring of 2020, a life was tragically cut short in northwest Oklahoma City. On the evening of April 23rd, officers responded to a distressing call at an apartment complex near Northwest 122nd Street and Rockwell Avenue. There, they discovered 39-year-old Courtney Devereaux, a male, who had sustained a fatal gunshot wound. Despite the efforts of first responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene, leaving a community to grapple with the sudden and violent loss.
