A 33-year-old Caucasian male, Ashton Wilson, tragically lost his life on the night of October 24, 2019, in a violent shooting that unfolded in a northwest Oklahoma City home. The incident, which also claimed the life of 40-year-old Dwan Scott and left two others, a man and a woman, critically injured, sent shockwaves through the community. The deadly encounter occurred just before midnight at a residence located in the 1900 block of NW 12th Street.
When police arrived at the scene, they discovered Wilson already deceased inside the home. Scott was rushed to a nearby hospital but ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation into the quadruple shooting revealed a grim sequence of events. Three individuals, identified as one woman and two men, had reportedly attempted to purchase drugs at the residence but were turned away. Instead of leaving, the two male suspects drew firearms and opened fire, leading to the fatal and critical injuries. The ensuing investigation led to the identification and subsequent arrest of two suspects.
One of the suspects, 28-year-old Skyler Wilson, was identified by a surviving witness and was later apprehended. She is facing two counts of murder for her alleged involvement in the crime. Another suspect, 28-year-old Mikel Carter, was also taken into custody in connection with the shooting. Carter faces a multitude of charges, including murder, assault and battery, robbery, and possession of a controlled substance. The investigation into the deadly shooting remains ongoing as authorities continue to seek justice for the victims and their families.
