In the winter of 2021, a domestic dispute in a southwest Oklahoma City home escalated to a fatal conclusion, claiming the life of 57-year-old Michael 'Dozer' Williams. On the evening of January 15th, police were called to the residence where they found Williams had been shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene, the victim of a homicide that would initially point investigators in one direction before taking a significant turn.
The immediate aftermath of the shooting led police to
identify Williams's ex-wife as the primary suspect. However, the investigation continued, and in the days that followed, new information emerged that shifted the focus of the case. This new evidence ultimately led to the arrest of a male suspect, fundamentally altering the understanding of the events that transpired on that tragic night.
Michael Lee Williams, known to his friends and family as 'Dozer,' was a man who lived with a 'Go Big or Go Home' philosophy. A graduate of Yukon High School, where he played quarterback, Williams was a proud United States Marine veteran. He later worked as a mechanic in the oil industry. He was a father and grandfather who was remembered for his generosity and his love for his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. His death left his family and friends to grapple with the sudden and violent loss of a man they described as a loyal friend and a devoted family man.
