Sheldon Leroy Hawk, a 47-year-old male, was a man of many talents, known for his work as a roofer and a tattoo artist. He made his home in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, living with his daughters and grandsons. His life, however, came to a violent and tragic end on the evening of March 10, 2021.
On that night, police were called to his residence near Southwest 29th Street and Portland Avenue around 9:30 p.m. following reports of a shooting.
Upon their arrival, they discovered Sheldon Hawk deceased inside his home. He had been shot multiple times, and his death was quickly ruled a homicide by investigators. In the immediate aftermath, no suspects were identified, and the motive for the shooting remained unclear to law enforcement.
The investigation took a dramatic turn five days later, on March 15, 2021. A suspect, identified as Robert Arreazolla, Jr., was located by police. When they attempted to apprehend him, Arreazolla led them on a high-speed chase through the streets of Oklahoma City, with speeds reportedly reaching up to 100 miles per hour. The pursuit came to an end when officers were able to perform tactical maneuvers to stop his vehicle. Arreazolla was then taken into custody and subsequently charged with the murder of Sheldon Hawk. While an arrest was made, the specific motive behind the fatal shooting was not publicly disclosed.
