On a Saturday evening in Oklahoma City, what began as a friendly backyard gathering turned into a scene of tragedy. Valente Torres, a 23-year-old Hispanic man, was at a home near Southeast 26th Street and Central Avenue where a group of people were enjoying a game of volleyball on May 8, 2021.
