Christopher Jacob Price, a 25-year-old White/Caucasian man known to his loved ones as "Bow," was a devoted father to his three young sons, Matthew, Stetsyn, and Westyn. His life was unexpectedly and tragically taken on the evening of September 22, 2023, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
That night, a shooting broke out at the Oxford Inn, located in the 5300 block of North Lincoln Boulevard.
According to investigators, Christopher was simply a bystander at the hotel and was not involved in the dispute that led to the gunfire. During the incident, he was struck by a bullet. Emergency services transported him to a local hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries and passed away.
The Oklahoma City Police Department launched an immediate investigation into the homicide. Within days, their efforts identified a person of interest in Christopher’s death. On Monday, September 25, 2023, police located and arrested a suspect in the nearby city of Midwest. The arrest was carried out by OKCPD officers with assistance from the United States Marshals Service.
The individual taken into custody was publicly identified as 42-year-old Juanterra Cortez Givens. He was arrested on a complaint of first-degree murder for his alleged role in the shooting that killed Christopher Price. As of the arrest in September 2023, the case was proceeding through the legal system.
