In the evening hours of September 7, 2021, a sequence of events unfolded in Del City, Oklahoma, that tragically ended the life of 45-year-old LaJuan Carr, a Black/African American male. What began as a drive turned into a fatal encounter when another vehicle pulled alongside Carr's car in the vicinity of the 3200 block of Westside Drive. Gunshots shattered the evening quiet as an occupant in the other vehicle opened fire.
