In the late hours of a September evening in Oklahoma City, James Allen Homer Jr., a 45-year-old White/Caucasian male, was found shot to death in the front yard of a residence. The incident, which occurred around 10:20 p.m. on September 25, 2021, in the 3200 block of SW 49th Street, was investigated by police as a possible drive-by shooting. His death marked the 72nd homicide in the city for that year.
