Curtis Canino, a 29-year-old Chicago resident, was tragically killed on August 4, 2011, in the West Town neighborhood of the city. Known within the Chicago music scene, Canino had made a name for himself as a musician and a beloved figure. He was actively involved in bands such as Lygate and Death By Design and worked at local venues, which endeared him to many in the city's vibrant metal community.
