In the late morning of June 2, 2022, a domestic disturbance in a northwest Oklahoma City residence escalated to a fatal conclusion, ending the life of 47-year-old Curtis Dale Priest. A White / Caucasian male, Priest was known for his passion for the outdoors, motorcycles, and fishing, but above all, he cherished time spent with his family. His unexpected and violent death sent shockwaves through his community of loved ones.
Responding to the incident, Oklahoma City police officers arrived to find Priest deceased from an apparent gunshot wound. The events leading to the shooting stemmed from an altercation with a woman identified as 51-year-old Donna Wong. According to police reports, the confrontation between Priest and Wong intensified, culminating in Wong allegedly shooting Priest.
Donna Wong remained at the scene of the incident and was taken into custody by the authorities. Following an interview with investigators, she was arrested and booked into the Oklahoma County jail. The initial charge filed against her was a complaint of first-degree manslaughter. The death of Curtis Dale Priest was officially classified as the 32nd homicide in Oklahoma City for that year. The case subsequently moved into the legal system for adjudication.
