In the autumn of 2022, the life of JeanPaul Marquis, a 53-year-old man, came to a violent and tragic end in Tulsa, Oklahoma. On October 27, 2022, his body was discovered near Interstate 244 and North Boston Avenue. Investigators at the scene determined that he had suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head, and his death was quickly classified as a homicide, marking the city's 65th of the year.
The initial discovery launched an intensive investigation by the Tulsa Police Department as they began the painstaking process of piecing together the final moments of his life.
The investigation soon led authorities beyond the borders of Oklahoma. Detectives were able to track the victim's stolen car to Fort Worth, Texas. There, they found the vehicle in the possession of 20-year-old Jahiem Neloms. Neloms was taken into custody in Fort Worth in connection with the murder of JeanPaul Marquis.
