Michael Geszvain, a 52-year-old White/Caucasian male, had dedicated 23 years of his life to the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department. On June 21, 1978, his long career in law enforcement came to a tragic and violent end within the supposed safety of a Waukesha County courthouse. During a court proceeding, a prisoner named Filemon Amaro Jr. managed to disarm Deputy Geszvain, seizing his service weapon.
