In the summer of 2015, the quiet community of Ellsworth, Wisconsin, was disturbed by the unexpected death of a local resident. Dean Kees, a 60-year-old White/Caucasian male, was found deceased at his residence on July 10, 2015. The circumstances of his death were not immediately clear, prompting an investigation by the Pierce County Sheriff's Department.
