On an afternoon in April 2018, the life of 31-year-old Ryan Sims, a Black male, was cut short in a burst of gunfire in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The fatal shooting occurred on April 11, 2018, near the intersection of 56th Street and West Burleigh Street. First responders were called to the scene around 1:30 p.m., where they found that Sims had sustained fatal injuries.
