In the early hours of Sunday, July 21, 2019, the life of Vontrell Turner, a 39-year-old Black / African American male, was tragically cut short in Racine, Wisconsin. The incident unfolded around 3:00 a.m. near the intersection of De Koven Avenue and Mead Street, where police responded to reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered Turner with a gunshot wound to his head.
