In the early summer of 2021, a dispute over a used car tragically escalated, ending the life of 25-year-old Drevian T. Allen Sr., a Black male from Beloit, Wisconsin. On June 7, 2021, Allen was fatally shot in the 1700 block of Porter Avenue in what would become the city's second homicide of the year.
