In the autumn of 2021, the life of Jontae Yera, a 19-year-old Black/African American male from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, was tragically cut short. On the evening of Wednesday, November 10, 2021, Yera was fatally shot in what police have described as a double homicide. The incident also claimed the life of his friend, 19-year-old Amareon Allen.
