On July 10, 2023, 21-year-old Alexis Danielle Thomas was found deceased at a residence on Union Grove Road, just outside Camden, Alabama. Wilcox County Sheriff Larry Colston reported that deputies responded to a shooting call around 11:20 a.m. and discovered Thomas had been fatally shot inside the home. An investigation was initiated, and her body was sent for an autopsy.
