On a tragic autumn day in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the life of Markeila S. Jamison, a 32-year-old Black/African American woman, was cut short. On October 12, 2022, Jamison was found the victim of a fatal shooting. The incident also claimed the life of her unborn child, as she was reportedly in the late stages of her pregnancy, between 38 and 39 weeks.
