In what began as a simple request to a neighbor, a tragic and violent encounter unfolded on the night of March 9, 2026, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, leaving two people dead and a family shattered. Maya Tolbert, a 31-year-old woman, and her boyfriend, Giovanni McVicker, 33, were shot and killed outside a residence near Teutonia and Green Tree.
