On November 19, 2023, 30-year-old Tynesha M. Crawford was fatally shot in her Milwaukee apartment near 33rd and Center Streets. The incident occurred around 2:15 a.m., with her four children present at the time. Tragically, Crawford was pregnant with twins at the time of her death.
Authorities arrested 27-year-old Quran Robey in connection with Crawford's death. According to reports, Robey, identified as Crawford's boyfriend, was involved in an argument with her prior to the shooting.
He allegedly shot her multiple times before fleeing the scene. Robey was apprehended the following day and faces charges including first-degree intentional homicide and possession of a firearm by a felon.
In addition to the charges related to Crawford's death, Robey is also accused of a separate shooting incident that occurred approximately six hours earlier. Surveillance footage from a gas station near 73rd Street and Capitol Drive shows Robey approaching a 46-year-old man and shooting him in the leg without apparent provocation. The victim survived the attack.
Crawford's family and the Milwaukee community have been deeply affected by her death. A GoFundMe campaign has been established to assist with funeral expenses and support her surviving children. The case has also highlighted concerns about domestic violence and gun-related incidents in the area, prompting calls for increased awareness and preventive measures.
